Adirondack extreme adventure course - Lake George tips

For an adrenaline rush make sure you don't miss this course! You can choose your comfort level - from 10 feet to 50 feet, from easy to extreme. The course has four large circuits of approximately 10-15 different obstacles. The obstacles range from zip lines, rope swings, scrambling walls, hanging nets, wobly bridges and suspended "surprises".

The skill level and height of each circuit is marked using a color coded system indicating the challenge based on elevation and difficulty. The four courses can be completed in approximately two and a half hours.

Green = Minimum Elevation/Minimum Skill
Blue = Medium Elevation/Medium Skill
Red = Advanced Elevation/Medium Skill
Black = Advanced Elevation/Advanced Skill

* A fifth level exists just for children

After a brief training course, you begin to advance through the different levels. You can stop and exit at various places along the course. However, it is difficult to walk away from a challenge.

  • Stetch before and after the course
  • Purchase the special gloves for a nominal fee to avoid rope burns and wear and tear on your hands
  • Take a water break between courses
  • Pace yourself - expect to spend two to three hours on the course
  • From Lake George take Route 87 north
  • Take exit 24 toward Bolton Landing
  • Proceed 1/4 mile to Hendricks Rd - Turn left onto Hendricks Road
  • Follow the signs to the course.
