Shepard Park - Lake George Tips

Located in the Village of Lake George this is a great park that has a beach for swimming, a dock for jumping into the lake, a small playground, numerous benches and Adirondack chairs. There is an amphitheatre for different types of shows and concerts. Various festivals and craft fairs occur here throughout the year. It is alos a good loaction to view the fireworks.

Village shops, restaurants and ice cream parlors are within walking distance.
Fireworks occur most Thursday nights during the summer and on special occassions thoughout the year.
The park has public restrooms.
Swimming is only permitted during the summer.
Check out the "polar plunge" that happens several times during the winter.
Check out the Winter Carnival every weekend in February.
