Mount Defiance - Lake George Tips
While hiking in the Ticonderoga area be sure to take a drive up Mt. Defiance. There is no fee to visit the summit. It provides nice views of Fort Ticonderoga and Lake Champlain.
- Hike nearby Cook Mountain.
- Visit Fort Ticonderoga if you enjoy history
- To get to Ticonderoga take 9N north or 87 north to exit 28 (Rt. 74)
- From the monument (traffic circle in the center of town) take Montcalm St. to Champlain Ave. and make a right
- Make a left onto The Portage
- Make a left onto Defiance St.
